Verity grew up in Poole, Dorset and from an early age aspired to be a teacher. After spending 6 months working in the USA and travelling abroad she studied Geography and Archaeology at Southampton University, and gained her PGCE at St Mary's, Twickenham. Verity is currently working as a Head of Geography.

Verity is conscious of the time and effort teachers invest into developing teaching materials, and became an author for PublishMeNow to share her resources with other teachers. "I felt I had materials that other teachers might be interested in. Textbooks are all very well, but they are often content heavy and don't have the activities that you actually want your students to undertake in the classroom. I spend so much time creating these, I thought it would be useful to share them."
