"I enjoy working with ZigZag for many reasons. For example, the peer review process used helps to raise the quality and accuracy of the books I write."

Peter has had a long career as a Systems Analyst and Project Manager in the high technology, computer-controlled Flight Simulation industry, travelling the world extensively in the role of on-site simulator installation and commissioning. However, he had always valued education and there came a point when he sought new challenges. After much deliberation he chose to make a move into teaching.

Peter is currently an experienced Senior Examiner at A Level and is keen to create educational resources for Information Technology to use within his school and to help raise the standards of ICT awareness amongst all students.

"ZigZag have actively supported me in my professional writing and encouraged me to develop a wide range of different resources."

After first moving into teaching, Peter had used ZigZag resources to support the courses he taught and found them preferable to textbooks as they were often more up to date.

"ZigZag development including peer reviews seems streamlined compared with the production of conventional textbook resources resulting in more accuracy as improvements can be added right up to the end of the publication process."

When the new A Level ICT course was introduced Peter decided to create his own GCE ICT Companions to support the course and sent a sample of his work to ZigZag who immediately gave him advice. "We worked together to produce a text that mirrored the specification and had sufficient detail to challenge the range of ability for all students."

"I enjoy working with ZigZag for many reasons. The peer review process used helps to raise the quality and accuracy of the books I write, communication is efficient and professional which is essential in helping writers get started and they have actively supported me in my professional writing and encouraged me to develop a wide range of different resources."

Peter has just completed writing an AQA GCSE ICT Companion for Unit 1 and is now in the process of creating further resources to support this course. He is investigating the possibility of producing VLE-based ICT projects within the near future.
