Originally from Falmouth in Cornwall attending Cornwall College for A Levels, Peter went on to study Mathematics at the University of Southampton, graduating in 1978 after completing a PGCE. He is now Head of Mathematics at a school in Southampton. Peter also worked for Edexcel as a C4 marker for the June 08 and 09 examinations gaining "not only an insight into how papers are assessed but also to the misconceptions students have in mathematics at this level".

At this time a resource for the International Examination in Mathematics did not exist and I wanted to use my expertise to help prepare students for this examination.
